Electrical and Application Engineer (Analog &RF)
Description
A skilled Electrical Engineer with solid experience in precision analog circuit design and RF electronics.
*Innovation:
Supports the development of high-performance sensing and detection subsystems across our mass spectrometer (MS), leak detector, and advanced sensor platforms. The ideal candidate has a working foundation in low-noise analog front-ends, precision signal conditioning, and RF circuit design, and is ready to develop their expertise further within a collaborative team of senior specialists. You will execute analog and RF design work within Agile Release Trains (ARTs), contributing to hardware that translates weak physical signals into accurate, reliable digital data.
*Application Development:
Supports the development of new applications with existing INFICON sensing systems including mass spectrometer (MS), leak detector, and advanced sensors to help customers to solve issues occurred in semiconductor manufacturing processes and also to help INFICON to break into new markets
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement precision analog front-end circuits for gas sensing, mass spectrometry, and optical detection applications, including transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), and charge amplifiers, under SME guidance.
- Contribute to the design of RF drive electronics for INFICON sensors where RF technology is applied and RF expertise is needed with direction from senior engineers.
- Develop and iterate signal conditioning, filtering, and analog processing chains for various INFICON sensors.
- Perform precision analog PCB layout with attention to noise isolation: guard rings, Kelvin connections, shielding strategies, and ground plane partitioning for mixed-signal designs.
- Collaborate with firmware and DSP engineers to support ADC/DAC interface requirements, dynamic range, sampling rates, and digital filtering.
- Support system-level noise budget analysis and help identify noise sources across the signal chain.
- Contribute to NPD (new product development) and sustaining engineering activities including component-level failure analysis and design improvements.
- Work within a cross-functional Agile team, participating in sprints to iterate rapidly on hardware designs.
- Develop new applications in helping customer to solve semiconductor manufacturing process and related issues by travelling to customer sites and directly working with customers on the issues
