-
Take direction on sophisticated electro-mechanical assemblies, installations and multi-machine installations.
-
Examine component parts for defects, recognize engineering design issues, initialize component inspection procedures and implement corrective actions (Return to stock Forms, Formal Component Inspection and/or Process Change Requests).
-
Measure electro-mechanical parts to ensure conformance to specific dimensions and lay out reference points for holes, trim lines, or part locations using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, optical equipment, alignment instruments etc.
-
Ensure fit and clearance of components parts by using hand tools and power tools.
-
Align, fit and assemble hydraulic, structural and mechanical components associated with electro-mechanical builds into completed assemblies using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand and power tools.
-
Test functional performance and the ability to troubleshoot complex completed assemblies such as electrical circuit assemblies, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, linear guide alignment using appropriate test equipment and assembly procedures.
-
Strong soldering skills, (electrical connectors, Amphenol connectors, etc.), soldering certification preferred.
-
High proficiency using pliers, wire cutters, crimping tools, soldering tools, wrenches, screwdrivers and other hands tools.
-
Rework, replace, and realign parts, adjust valves, re-torques fittings, and retest units to ensure conformance to engineering specifications.
-
Responsible for quality inspection and engineering specification compliance of own work.
-
Complete quality checks once a task is complete and once a project is electrically complete.
