Electrical Compliance Engineer

Job Description:

• The Electrical Compliance Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing design content relevant to the clients’ set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise in Electrical Technology to solve problems in a manufacturing setting.

• Essential Responsibilities

• Validate, read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.

• Analyzes engineering change orders to system updates and implements changes to resolve problems.

• Collaborate with the manufacturing and quality teams in the qualification process of assembly integration to production systems.

• Record procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method.

• Maintains software, documentation and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications.

• Ensure system compliance with budgets, standards and regulations.

• Provide reviews to the product design engineer to ensure Design for Compliance.

• Oversee product verification and characterization.

• Provide inputs to regulatory certification, standards compliance, product performance verification and reliability testing.

• Support the Quality Manager in preparation for and execution of audits.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Typically requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with some related experience or equivalent experience.

• Typically requires 6 years of related experience.

• Previous experience with the following UL standards: 891 Switchboards, 1558 Switchgears, 857 Busways, 1008 Transfer Switch.
