Job Description
Python LNG is an independent engineering and technology company with roots in Singapore, providing specialized services in LNG and Energy infrastructure projects worldwide. Our engineering design office in Croatia works hand in hand with our team in Singapore to serve clients across the globe.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for the design of power systems for ship conversion and offshore LNG projects. The role focuses on electrical power distribution, integration with existing vessel systems, and ensuring compliance with marine standards.
Key responsibilities
• Carry out electrical power distribution design and develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Perform electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations and load balance
• Define and specify electrical equipment (switchboards, MCCs, transformers, distribution boards and motor starters)
• Design earthing and bonding systems in accordance with marine standards
• Integrate new systems with existing ship electrical infrastructure
• Prepare electrical datasheets and technical specifications for procurement
• Support procurement with technical evaluation of electrical equipment
• Coordinate with the E&I Lead, piping, structural, and mechanical teams

Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant experience in marine or offshore electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of ship power systems and marine standards (DNV, ABS, etc.)
• Experience with electrical design calculations and SLD development
Preferred
• Experience in marine / shipbuilding or offshore projects
• Understanding of hazardous area (EX) requirements
• Experience with retrofit or electrical power supply systems
