Job Summary

RIVIKOK Consultancy is hiring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a reputed electrical equipment manufacturing company specializing in Dry Type Transformers.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in transformer electrical design, electromagnetic principles, design calculations, and manufacturing processes. The role involves developing transformer designs that meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and applicable international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Dry Type Transformers, including Cast Resin and/or VPI transformers, based on customer specifications and applicable standards.
• Perform electrical design calculations, including voltage ratio, current ratings, core selection, winding design, no-load and load losses, impedance, temperature rise, and efficiency.
• Optimize transformer designs for cost-effectiveness, performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical documentation.
• Select appropriate core materials, conductors, insulation systems, and transformer accessories.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams during product development and manufacturing.
• Provide technical support for prototype development, transformer testing, and customer queries.
• Analyze test results and recommend design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, ANSI, IEEE, and customer-specific standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 3 years of relevant experience in Dry Type Transformer Design.
• Strong knowledge of transformer design calculations and electromagnetic principles.
• Experience in Cast Resin and/or VPI transformer design.
• Knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes, testing procedures, and applicable standards.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and coordination skills.
