Electrical Designer (North Area/Electrical/Up to $4500)

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare electrical design drawings based on customer drawings, sketches, specifications, calculations and other technical information.

• Review and verify design drawings to ensure they meet customer requirements and project specifications.

• Work closely with the Sales, Project and Engineering teams to ensure smooth coordination throughout the design process.

• Review final production drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations.

• Check Material Requisition Orders (MRO) against production drawings to ensure the required materials are correct.

• Support M&E consultants in the specification and design of low-voltage switchboards.

• Work with M&E consultants and contractors on design modifications, alterations and additions for site works.

• Present and explain product designs, technical features and proposed solutions to customers and project stakeholders.

• Provide timely technical support and recommend practical solutions to design or project-related issues.

• Take on other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Proficient in AutoCAD with good 2D and 3D drafting skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good understanding of electrical systems and applications.

• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing tight project timelines.
