About the Role
Our client is an established engineering organisation delivering complex marine engineering and systems integration projects. They are seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing and commissioning of electrical and electronic systems across various marine platforms.
This role is ideal for engineers with strong technical capabilities who enjoy working on multidisciplinary engineering projects from design through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical specifications, engineering drawings, system layouts and equipment documentation for project execution.
- Develop and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts and integration plans using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate the integration of electrical and electronic systems with internal engineering teams, vendors and project stakeholders.
- Review engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and statutory requirements.
- Support equipment selection, interface management and technical evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning activities, harbour and sea trials where required.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to resolve engineering and installation issues during project execution.
- Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure drawings and technical documentation are issued according to project schedules.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and ensure proper revision control.
- Keep abreast of current engineering technologies, marine regulations and industry standards to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience in marine, offshore, shipbuilding, systems integration, industrial automation or related industries.
- Experience in electrical/electronic systems design, integration or project engineering.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for engineering drawings and equipment layout.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation, technical specifications and system interface coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers and external stakeholders.
- Willing to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or project-related activities when required.
