POSITION SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineer serves as a central lead in the development and implementation of electrical systems for industrial applications, primarily focusing on power generation packages and supporting auxiliary systems. This role is integral to the entire system lifecycle, from initial conceptual design and documentation—including schematics, P&IDs, software code, and functional specifications—to final commissioning and handover.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")
- Serves as a key stakeholder in the design and implementation of software, hardware, instrumentation, DC distribution, and low/medium voltage AC distribution systems.
- Acts as the Engineering liaison for the manufacturing of mobile power generation packages driven by gas turbines, reciprocating engines, and battery systems.
- Assists in commissioning newly manufactured packages to ensure electrical and control systems operate according to functional specifications.
- Develop process specifications to formalize standardized tasks and strengthen quality control practices.
- Creates component specifications to assist the procurement of parts for new build manufacturing.
- Establishes documentation outlining operational criteria for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Reviews electrical system developments to ensure designs comply with industry standards and legislation.
- Supports the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mobile power generation and battery storage packages.
- Acts as the approval authority for final drawing release by performing redline/markup drawing reviews for electrical and controls components.
- Contributes to the development of new products and the advancement of existing product lines.
- Manages the development of comprehensive electrical and control system operation and maintenance manuals.
- Serves as the Engineering liaison for procurement and supply chain regarding technical proposals and product offerings.
- Evaluates new product/service offerings from suppliers to build technical proposals.
- Provides onsite and remote troubleshooting support for deployed assets.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
