Summary/Objective:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for partnering with other members of the Engineering team to use his/her knowledge and expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure the Company is leading-edge in the marketplace.

Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Managing the manufacturing process for new electrical equipment, using design software to produce schematics, and overseeing installation processes.

• Develops new products; works on how to improve existing products, and participates in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment and in trouble shooting existing processes and equipment.
• Asseses/Tests and maintains electrical equipment; constructs complex electrical and electronic appliances from wiring diagrams.
• Possesses a programming capability in PLC or equivalent software for machine control and communication among machine, HMI, and other components.
• Works with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations with regards to equipment installations and/or other facility processes; ensures projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
• Maintains an awareness of external product and process technology, including those of competitors, through external networks (i.e., academia, suppliers, customers, research institutes, etc.), literature study, technical meetings, and conferences; incorporates this information into the development of new products.
• Evaluates capability of current manufacturing technologies, equipment, processes, and practices.
• Identifies areas of opportunity to ensure the Company remains competitive within the marketplace.
• Supports any efforts to maintain high-quality standards as defined by BRC and other plant-wide initiatives to help the parent-company, local company, and the department.
