JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, test, and integrate high-power electrical systems that enable next-generation hybrid-electric propulsion and mission equipment. You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through deployment—collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading design reviews, and supporting field testing. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in power engineering and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where precision and innovation drive results.

DUTIES:
  • Design and test power electronics including ESCs, inverters, and rectifiers.
  • Develop and validate generator systems for hybrid-electric propulsion.
  • Support design, integration, and thermal management of battery systems.
  • Implement high-voltage distribution and grounding strategies for aircraft platforms.
  • Diagnose and validate electrical systems using oscilloscopes, DAQs, and multimeters.
  • Collaborate with controls, avionics, mechanical, and aero teams to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Contribute to ground and flight test activities with hands-on hardware debugging and data collection.
  • Document design work, validation procedures, and test results for internal and external reviews.

SKILLS:
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual granted asylum/refugee status, in accordance with ITAR/EAR regulations).
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (aviation, automotive, robotics, or similar industries).
  • Strong background in power engineering, high-power systems, and energy storage.
  • Experience with DC generators, motor controllers, and battery pack design.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and validate systems above 5,000 watts.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, DAQs).

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
  • Experience with Altium Designer for PCB layout.
  • Previous PCB design and validation experience.
  • Familiarity with hybrid-electric or aerospace power systems.
  • Hands-on experience integrating electrical systems with multidisciplinary platforms.

BONUS:
  • Prior experience working on airborne or high-reliability electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with certification standards for aerospace or automotive power systems.
  • Passion for our mission to revolutionize wildfire mitigation through autonomous aerospace technology.
EXPECTED HOURS/SCHEDULE:
Full Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
PAY: $90k - $120k/year

BENEFITS:
  • Pay Depends on Experience.
  • Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, and Vision Included.
  • Opportunity for Growth and Development.
