Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide engineering expertise and technical solutions for industrial electrical systems and equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, project teams and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements, develop suitable solutions and support project execution from engineering design through to installation and commissioning.

This role offers opportunities to engage directly with customers, participate in technical discussions and contribute to the delivery of industrial electrical and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for industrial electrical systems, including motors, generators, variable frequency drives (VFDs), power electronics and related equipment.
• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements, clarify specifications and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project and customer requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical documentation, equipment specifications and design deliverables.
• Work closely with sales, application engineering and project teams to develop technical proposals and support customer presentations.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities at customer sites when required.
• Monitor project progress and ensure engineering deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards and applicable safety requirements.
• Conduct technical discussions and provide engineering recommendations to improve equipment performance, reliability and energy efficiency.
• Keep updated on relevant electrical engineering standards, industry developments and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in electrical engineering within industrial equipment, power systems, heavy industries or industrial automation.
• Familiarity with electrical motors, generators, variable frequency drives, power conversion systems or industrial control equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Good communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging customers and other stakeholders on technical matters.
• Able to work collaboratively across engineering, sales and project teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with electrical design and engineering software would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally for customer meetings, site inspections, installation and commissioning activities when required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in industrial electrical equipment, high-power drives, motors and generators, power electronics or industrial automation will be preferred. Individuals who combine strong technical engineering knowledge with customer-facing capabilities and project coordination experience are encouraged to apply.
