Role Overview
- Perform third-party field evaluations of unlabeled electrical equipment to nationally recognized standards
- Interface with Clients to develop scopes and estimates for third-party field evaluations
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and UL standards, as well as electrical safety
- Ability to research and comprehend Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for client locations
- Manage multiple equipment evaluation projects involving multiple Clients
- Prepare complete construction documents for permitting and bidding, including utility interconnections, power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and fire alarm systems
- Develop and review one-line diagrams, motor load lists, electrical plan views, termination schedules, and panel schedules
- Specify, size, and select electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, cables, and protective devices
- Design and coordinate electrical protection schemes, including overcurrent protection and protective relay settings
- Perform and oversee field site visits, construction observation, commissioning support, and system troubleshooting
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, as required by project needs
