Electrical Engineer Expert

Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for energy and infrastructure, seeks an Expert Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies. You will join the Electrical Engineering Department within the Energy Carriers business line to perform and coordinate ETAP-based power system studies for onshore and offshore facilities.

You will develop study philosophies, deliverables, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to international

Develop, review and coordinate electrical system studies for onshore and offshore facilities using ETAP and other industry-standard software. Perform load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic and grounding studies per standards. Prepare study philosophies, reports and engineering deliverables for power system analysis. Ensure electrical design compliance with codes, standards and client specs. Support electrical network architectures during proposal, FEED and EPC phases. Review vendor data and assess impact on power system studies. Support project team in technical queries, design changes and network modifications. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers in ETAP modelling. Develop best practices and lessons learned for power system analysis. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years in electrical engineering for power system studies in O&G. Proficient with ETAP and power system analysis. Strong knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards. Experience with MV/LV distribution and emergency power systems. Willingness to travel internationally.
