Electrical Engineer, PE - Malta, NY
Overview:
Hallam-ICS is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing Malta, NY office. This position supports clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced technology, higher education, and industrial markets throughout the region.
Our electrical engineers design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, hazardous area electrical systems, and process utility infrastructure for technically complex buildings and industrial facilities. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment to deliver projects from concept through construction.
This is a growth-oriented position offering technical leadership opportunities, client interaction, and project management responsibilities. Successful candidates will coordinate with internal engineering teams, architects, contractors, equipment vendors, utilities, and client stakeholders. Client site visits, field investigations, and construction support are regular parts of this role.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain via comity in New York
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for industrial, manufacturing, commercial, laboratory, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or institutional facilities
- Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power, and low-voltage systems
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and local building requirements
- Experience with electrical system studies, hazardous locations, process equipment integration, or industrial facilities is a plus
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant engineering design software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small, self-directed team environment
