Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution & Transmission) - Japanese MNC

Job Responsibilities

• Provide engineering, technical and on-site support throughout project execution.

• Prepare customer tenders, conduct project kick-off meetings and coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors.

• Obtain and review vendor quotations, technical specifications and preliminary drawings.

• Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and clients to ensure projects meet objectives and timelines.

• Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), installation and commissioning.

• Provide technical input for new product development and improvements to existing systems.

• Conduct customer training and ensure proper handover to the Life Cycle team for warranty support.

• Stay updated on the latest transformer technologies and industry trends.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• No experience is welcome to apply for a junior Engineer level

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in transformers, preferably within construction, process or plant engineering.

• Good knowledge of transformers and industrial engineering support functions; switchgear knowledge is an advantage.

• Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good planning, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work independently or in a team.

• Willing to travel overseas for business and project support.
