  • Specify, review, and validate electrical designs developed internally and by OEM/ODM partners.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify electrical performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply engineering analysis, reliability assessment, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and address design risks.
  • Incorporate lean engineering and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve product quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with R&D to evaluate emerging technologies and develop practical applications that create customer and business value.
  • Build and maintain technical relationships with component manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and OEM/ODM partners.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design specifications, analyses, test procedures, and reports.
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to leadership, cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Mentor junior engineers in design, analysis, testing, and problem-solving.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and product performance.

Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of electronics design and embedded software, with the ability to specify, review, and validate designs.
  • Proficiency with electrical measurement and diagnostic instruments, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and power analyzers.
  • Understanding of design evaluation methods, including reliability analysis, statistical tolerance analysis, and FMEA.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply that knowledge to practical engineering challenges.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative and works independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, analytical approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience designing or integrating Android-based display systems.
  • Experience with digital display systems, motors and motor controllers, power supplies, or electromagnetics.
  • Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic interference and compatibility (EMI/EMC), including emissions and immunity testing, and applicable FCC and CE requirements.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global OEM/ODM partners.
  • Understanding of project planning, resource allocation, and engineering project management.
  • Familiarity with UL 1647 and IEC 60335 standards.

Travel and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally, to support supplier collaboration, meet customers, and observe products in the field.
