Our client is a hardware technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the electrical design of a line of hardware products, from early circuit architecture and board drawings through prototype testing, production support and field validation. Help bring new devices to market as the company's product range grows.
What you'll do
- Own the electrical architecture and printed circuit board design for each new product.
- Carry designs from first circuit drawings and board layout through initial power-up and embedded software integration.
- Support manufacturing and oversee field testing of hardware builds.
- Design and build new hardware products for emerging applications.

- A substantial personal portfolio of hands-on circuit board design and hardware builds.
- Two or more internships or paid positions focused on physical hardware rather than software.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics and computer engineering, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A track record of designing numerous circuit boards end to end, from schematic to layout, across clubs, personal projects and internships.
- Hands-on experience designing RF circuitry, such as antenna integration, impedance matching, or radio or satellite positioning front ends, rather than only placing off-the-shelf modules.
Bonus points
- Experience with high-speed digital design, power integrity or EMI/EMC.
- Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and common board interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART and CAN.
