Position Overview

Electrical Estimation Engineer Jobs Dubai: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimation Engineer with mandatory experience in Data Centre projects to prepare accurate, competitive, and technically compliant cost estimates for complex electrical and MEP systems in Dubai.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in electrical estimation, tendering, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and bid submissions, together with in-depth knowledge of LV, MV, HV, ELV, power distribution, lighting, and associated electrical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical cost estimates for Data Centre and MEP projects.
• Review tender documents, electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, and contractual requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Estimate electrical systems including:
  • LV systems
  • MV systems
  • HV systems
  • ELV systems
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
  • Associated electrical services
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for technical compliance, commercial competitiveness, and cost optimization.
• Prepare detailed comparison statements, cost analyses, and bid summaries.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Design, Planning, Commercial, and Project teams throughout the tendering process.
• Support preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, project site visits, clarification meetings, and post-tender negotiations.
• Review design requirements and identify potential cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain accurate estimation records, pricing information, and historical cost data.
• Ensure estimates comply with applicable electrical standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.

Data Centre Electrical Estimation

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the complexity and critical requirements associated with Data Centre electrical infrastructure, including electrical distribution, power systems, LV/MV/HV equipment, ELV systems, lighting, and associated MEP services.

Experience preparing estimates for mission-critical or high-reliability infrastructure projects will be highly valued.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in Electrical Estimation within MEP projects.
• Mandatory experience in Data Centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • LV electrical systems
  • MV electrical systems
  • HV electrical systems
  • ELV systems
  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
• Proven experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, tendering, cost estimation, and bid preparation.
• Good understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Strong analytical, commercial, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with design, procurement, commercial, planning, and project teams.

Technical Knowledge

The ideal candidate should have practical estimation experience covering electrical power distribution, LV/MV/HV systems, ELV, lighting, electrical equipment, BOQs, quantity surveying, tender documentation, supplier quotations, subcontractor pricing, and cost analysis.

Experience in Data Centre electrical estimation and critical infrastructure projects is mandatory.
