What You’ll Do

You’ll be a key member of our team, preparing accurate, competitive estimates that help secure exciting commercial and municipal projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Performing electrical quantity takeoffs
• Developing detailed labor and material estimates
• Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Preparing complete bid packages and proposals
• Attending site visits and pre-bid meetings
• Identifying project risks and value-engineering opportunities
• Working closely with Project Managers through project handoff
• Assisting with change orders and project budgeting
• Building strong relationships with customers, vendors, engineers, and general contractors

What You’ll Bring

Required

• 3+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction, lighting, low voltage, fire alarm, security systems, or related construction trades
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook & Word)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• OSHA 30 and SST certifications (or ability to maintain required certifications)

Preferred

• Construction Management or Engineering degree
• Experience with commercial electrical construction and lighting projects
• Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
• Experience using estimating software
• Design-Build or Design-Assist experience
