Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Factory Inspection Engineer to conduct third-party factory inspections and physical verification of electrical materials at manufacturers' facilities. The successful candidate will verify the physical availability, quantity, and compliance of electrical products, including light fittings, sockets, and plugs, against approved Purchase Orders (PO), Packing Lists, and client specifications prior to shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct factory inspections at the manufacturer's facility to verify the physical availability of electrical materials.
- Inspect and verify light fittings, sockets, plugs, and other electrical accessories against approved Purchase Orders (PO), Packing Lists, and project documentation.
- Confirm product quantity, identification, labeling, model numbers, and packaging before shipment.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure materials comply with client specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
- Identify and document any discrepancies, shortages, damages, or non-conformities during inspection.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports with supporting photographs and inspection findings.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and client representatives during inspection activities.
- Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with quality management procedures and client requirements.
- Submit inspection reports promptly and provide recommendations for acceptance or corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical inspection, QA/QC, third-party inspection, or factory acceptance inspection.
- Experience inspecting electrical materials such as lighting fixtures, sockets, plugs, switches, and electrical accessories.
- Ability to interpret Purchase Orders, Packing Lists, technical specifications, and inspection documents.
- Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC or equivalent.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including factory inspections in Brazil and other project locations.
- Fluency in English; Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Third-Party Inspection (TPI) or Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Previous experience with international manufacturers and export inspections.
