Electrical Journeyman
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems for commercial construction projects
- Run conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) and pull wire according to plans and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and other electrical components
- Perform layout and planning for electrical runs and installations
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction phases
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC codes and project specifications
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
- Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on-site
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and system installation
- Understanding of NEC codes and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with strong work ethic and attendance
Education and Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred (or equivalent field experience)
- 4+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
- Previous experience on construction job sites required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to provide own tools
