Electrical Maintenance Engineer

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in King's Cross. This is a static, Monday to Friday role, offering an excellent work-life balance with no call-out requirement.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and building services systems. You will diagnose faults, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, liaise with subcontractors, and provide a high level of service to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
  • Maintain and service single and three-phase power, emergency lighting, fire alarms, BMS, AHUs, FCUs, generators, and VRV/VRF systems
  • Complete basic water hygiene duties, including temperature monitoring, tap tests, dosing, and cooling tower checks
  • Keep maintenance records, logbooks, and compliance documentation up to date
  • Supervise specialist contractors and support planned maintenance activities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and site team

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installations (City & Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years' experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding ability and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Good communication and client-facing skills
  • Apprenticeship background desirable but not essential

Salary & Benefits:

  • £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • No call-out rota
