Electrical Operations Manager-USA
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Operations Leadership
Lead and oversee all electrical construction operations across active and future projects.
Provide technical leadership and direction to project teams during planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout.
Develop and implement standardized electrical construction procedures, quality requirements, and best practices.
Support field teams with troubleshooting, constructability reviews, and technical decision-making.
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, client specifications, and applicable state licensing requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with electrical subcontractors, suppliers, and labor providers.
Client Management & Business Development
Act as a primary client-facing representative for all electrical-related matters.
Participate in client meetings, pre-bid conferences, project reviews, and executive updates.
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and pursuing new work.
Assist with proposal presentations and technical discussions during contract negotiations.
Work collaboratively with clients to develop solutions that improve project execution and overall value.
Estimating & Proposal Development
Lead electrical estimating efforts for utility-scale solar, BESS, industrial, and power generation projects.
Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing strategies.
Review bid documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Identify commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and execution strategies.
Prepare and review technical and commercial proposal submissions.
Support project handoff from estimating to operations.
Project Execution Support
Conduct site visits and project audits to evaluate progress, safety, quality, productivity, and staffing.
Support project teams with manpower forecasting, procurement planning, and schedule recovery efforts.
Assist with change order development, contract administration, and claim support.
Provide guidance on commissioning, startup activities, and project turnover requirements.
Monitor project performance metrics, budgets, and profitability.
Team Leadership & Development
Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing electrical personnel.
Mentor project managers, superintendents, foremen, and coordinators.
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support workforce planning and long-term organizational growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience.
10+ years of electrical construction experience.
5+ years in leadership, operations management, project management, or estimating.
Strong knowledge of utility-scale solar, BESS, power generation, industrial, or heavy commercial electrical systems.
Experience managing multi-million-dollar construction projects.
Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and industry best practices.
Strong estimating, contract review, and commercial management skills.
Ability to travel throughout the United States.
Preferred
Utility-scale solar and BESS experience.
Electrical contractor licensing in one or more states.
Experience working within union and open-shop labor environments.
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
