Electrical Project Engineer

The Role:

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of renewable energy substation, BESS and wind projects in Australia. Ensuring safety, quality, and compliance every step of the way. You’ll work closely with engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders to keep projects on time, on budget, and built to specification. This will be a hands on project delivery role, with a mix of office and FIFO to various project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop subcontract scopes of work
  • Review of RFQ submissions
  • Build work packages
  • Development and implementation of inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  • Stage inspections
  • Closing ITPs
  • Take ownership of the RFI process
  • Participate in design reviews including safety in design.
  • Attend FATs and inspections
  • Ensuring the accuracy of redlines

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer on renewable energy projects (BESS, Windfarm, Substations highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, grid connections, and balance of plant design and construction.
