Electrical Project Manager

Position Overview
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering electrical projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strong leadership capabilities, and financial management skills to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise

Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and codes to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve technical challenges and optimize system performance.
Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and conduct inspections throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership & Team Management

Lead cross-functional project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Develop project schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
Mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth and technical excellence.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and managing expectations.

Financial & Business Acumen

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions to maintain budget compliance.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost efficiency.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 6+ years of experience in electrical project management within commercial or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and financial tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with energy efficiency projects or renewable energy systems.
Familiarity with ERP systems for financial tracking and reporting.
