Electrical QC Inspector - Contract
Summary
Performs electrical quality control inspections for industrial projects in Vancouver, verifying compliance with standards and documenting findings for a contract lasting until late 2026.
We are looking for an Electrical QC Inspector for a contract position in Vancouver, BC. The contract is to start immediately and would last until the end of November 2026 with a possibility of an extension.
Scope of work:
- Supervision of I/O checks
- Supervision of insulation tests
- Supervision of cable markings etc.
- Supervision of commissioning activities
- Collection & verification of documentation against ITP
- Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection results, including any issues found.
- Recording inspection results and any non-conformities
- Investigating Non-Conformities i.e. identifying causes and assisting in corrective actions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with welders, engineers, and other personnel.
- At least one of the following: Certified (Red Seal) Electrical or Electrical Engineer (Quality Inspector)
- Five to ten (5 - 10) years industrial Electrical related inspection experience. Five (5) of these years should be in Quality Assurance / vendor surveillance / shop inspections
- Industrial experience in Oil & gas / Power & Utility / Construction / Manufacturing, etc.
Additional details:
- Type of contract: sub-contractor agreement
- Work schedule and hours of work: 5 days / week. Up to 10 hrs / day (Monday to Friday)
- Pay Rate: $45 / hr. to $50 / hr. (negociable)
- Per diems: to be discussed if candidate is not local
