Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Project

Location: Denmark
Work model: On-site

Your responsibilities

As Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of a major Data Centre project—from tender and project mobilisation through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

• preparing and managing Bills of Quantities, budgets, cost reports and profit plans;
• monitoring project costs, revenue, cash flow and commercial performance;
• preparing accurate monthly applications for payment;
• managing remeasurements, dayworks, variations, change orders and contractual claims;
• chairing or participating in commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams;
• managing subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and final accounts;
• ensuring subcontractor payments and retentions comply with agreed terms;
• measuring and valuing subcontractor works and site variations;
• identifying commercial risks and escalating them promptly;
• maintaining detailed records to support variations, claims and final-account negotiations;
• working with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers and Planning Engineers;
• aligning commercial reporting with actual construction progress;
• negotiating commercial matters with clients and their representatives;
• supporting procurement and subcontract administration;
• ensuring the confidentiality and security of commercial information.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor or MEP Quantity Surveyor;
• experience on Data Centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or large commercial projects;
• a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or Commercial Management;
• strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction costs;
• experience preparing BOQs, budgets, valuations and commercial reports;
• practical knowledge of variations, remeasurements, dayworks and contractual claims;
• experience managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts;
• good understanding of contract administration and payment processes;
• strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify project risks;
• effective negotiation and stakeholder-management skills;
• excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail;
• the ability to organise and prioritise work independently;
• strong record-keeping and reporting skills;
• good command of English;
• legal eligibility to work in Denmark.

Previous commercial experience on a hyperscale Data Centre project will be a significant advantage.
