Electrical Site Engineer
Summary
Oversee electrical installation and commissioning for industrial or commercial projects in Singapore, ensuring compliance with codes and timelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all electrical installation works at the project site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and safety requirements.
- Monitor site progress and ensure electrical works are completed on time and within budget.
- Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines (Mechanical, HVAC, Process, Civil, and Instrumentation) to resolve technical and site issues.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, inspection records, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, manpower allocation, and site resources.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to ensure project quality and schedule.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of site engineering experience in electrical installation for industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or commercial building projects.
- Experience with electrical systems such as:Low Voltage (LV) Power DistributionLighting SystemsCable Tray & Cable InstallationEarthing & Lightning Protection SystemsFire Alarm SystemsEmergency Power Systems
- Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Familiar with Singapore electrical codes and construction practices.
- Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (BIM/Revit knowledge is an advantage).
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
