Electrical Supervisor
Summary
Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at construction or industrial sites in Singapore, ensuring compliance with local safety and regulatory standards.
Project & Site Supervision
- Supervise electrical installation works at project sites.
- Coordinate and supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Monitor work progress according to project schedule and quality standards.
- Ensure proper cable routing, DB installation, cable termination, and electrical equipment installation.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot andrectify electrical faults.
- Supervise testing and commissioning works.
- Ensure electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance withEMA regulations, Singapore Standards, and WSH requirements.
- Conduct tool box meetings and risk assessments.
- Ensure permit-to-work procedures are followed.
- Maintain site safety records and documentation.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily reports,inspection reports, and work permits.
- Update single-line diagrams (SLDs) and as-built drawings.
- Maintain maintenance and testing records.
- Report work progress and site issues to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in:
- Construction
- Building Services
- Industrial Plants
- Facilities Maintenance
- M&E Projects
Key Skills
- Supervision of electrical installation works
- Electrical troubleshooting and fault finding
- Testing and commissioning
- Reading electrical drawings and Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Knowledge of LV/HV electrical systems
- Site coordination and team management
- Familiar with EMA regulations, WSH requirements, and Singapore electrical standards
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- EMA Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW)
- Workplace Safety Supervisor (WSS)
- BCSS / CSOC certification
- SCDF Fire Safety Manager certification (advantage)
- High Voltage Switching certification (if applicable)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong leadership and time management skills
