Electrical Supervisor - Street Lighting (Roads O&M)
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor specializing in Street Lighting for our Roads Operations and Maintenance team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and optimization of street lighting systems across the city's road network.
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and technicians responsible for street lighting installation and maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for street lighting systems
- Oversee the design and implementation of new street lighting projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular inspections of street lighting infrastructure to identify and address potential issues
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate street lighting activities with road maintenance and construction projects
- Analyze energy consumption data and recommend energy-efficient lighting solutions
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all street lighting operations
- Manage inventory of lighting equipment and materials, ensuring timely procurement of supplies
- Prepare reports on project status, maintenance activities, and budget utilization
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in street lighting and implement improvements as appropriate
- Proven experience with street lighting systems and road operations and maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when required
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations in Qatar is a plus
