JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Validate and verify Microgrid Power Control Systems (MPCS) and electrical control systems.
  • Develop and execute system-level test plans, validation procedures, and performance analyses.
  • Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and software validation testing.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities for power and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Utilize tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer, and CANape for testing and analysis.
  • Ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Document test results, findings, and recommendations for continuous product improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform system validation, verification, and testing of MPCS and control systems.
  • Develop, execute, and document test plans, procedures, and test results.
  • Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and software validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and software issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, software, and electrical engineering.
  • Analyze test data and provide recommendations for product improvements.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product development efforts.
  • Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer, and CANape tools for testing and analysis.
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, validation documentation, and engineering updates.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in controls, validation, or systems engineering.
  • Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and product development.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, HIL testing, and CAN tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
