Electrical Technician
Summary
Maintains, repairs, and installs electrical systems in a paper manufacturing facility, ensuring safe and reliable operations of motors, transformers, and control systems.
Duties
& Responsibilities | • Perform preventive maintenance,
troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, motors, transformers,
switchgear, and other electrical equipment used in paper manufacturing • Install, upgrade, and modify
electrical wiring, lighting, and control systems supporting paper production
equipment • Maintain electrical drawings,
schematics, and documentation for the paper mill's electrical infrastructure • Ensure compliance with relevant
electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations specific to the paper
industry • Assist with the development and
implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures for electrical systems • Collaborate with other maintenance
trades and production departments as needed to support paper manufacturing
operations • Maintain a safe and organized work
environment in the paper mill |
Requirements
Min.
Education & Skills Required | • Technical diploma or associate's
degree in electrical engineering technology or a related field • 3-5 years of experience as an
electrical technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper
industry • Proficiency in reading and
interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety
standards, and regulations applicable to paper manufacturing • Experience with PLC (Programmable
Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is an advantage |
