Electrician Co-op

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Industrial Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels, motors, hydraulic pneumatic, and other types of systems. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. They must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient. Keep work area safe, neat, and clean. In this position, the ability and motivation to learn quickly is imperative.

Essential Functions

· Arrive at plant on time, properly groomed, mentally alert, and physically able to work.

· Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications

· Install new or refurbished equipment for manufacturing.

· Run tests to ensure new machinery is ready.

· Diagnosis, troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other devices.

· Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records

· Complete reports pertaining to repair and maintenance of machine

· Operating mobile equipment as required such as front loaders, skid steers, forklift, etc.

· Assisting with a wide range of other duties in the plant as needed

· Strictly adhere to PTT Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

· Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
