Electrician

ICMS is looking for MD State Licensed Electricians to join our team onsite for a contract in Beltsville, Maryland. Successful candidates are responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems with experience in commercial and industrial settings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative and routine maintenance on electrical systems and electrical system components of MEP equipment

· Troubleshoot and test electrical systems to avoid malfunction

· Correct trends of deterioration in electrical services

· Possess analytical skills necessary to recognize, diagnose, and, within limits, repair equipment and system malfunctions.

· Understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms

Required Qualifications:

· A High School Diploma or GED is standard. Preference is highly weighted toward graduates of vocational/technical programs

· 5+ years’ experience and possess a Journeyman’s License issued by the State of Maryland

· Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines

· Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures and the confidence to suggest additional safety procedures.

· Working knowledge of HVAC and associated systems employing computer/software-based monitoring and control devices

· Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical, utilities, distribution systems, and controls, including maintenance and troubleshooting

· Ability to repair building systems that are controlled by a central Energy Management Control System (EMCS)

· Must be able to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade

· Must be able at times to work independently with little or no supervision.

· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.

· Ability to pass a physical examination/ fit for duty assessment

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• A valid state’s driver's license (with no major infractions) is required
• OSHA 10/30 Training
• Journeyman License issued by the State of Maryland
• Applicable industry certifications and training (NEC, HFPA 70E, PLC Training)

Security Clearance:

All contractor personnel must attain and maintain a USDA LincPass and pass a background check; personnel must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.

Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time Onsite Position (Telecommute not considered for this position)

Work schedules are subject to change based on client and company needs. As a management position, this person will be on call regularly and be available for and respond to emergencies off shift.

Hourly Pay: $36.28 per hour
