Electrician

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position will serve as an Electrician for the Joint Activities located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Only resumes up to a total of two pages will be accepted.

Installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, and equipment.

Supporting the Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDTE) electrical requirements.

Uses all types of shop and hand tools and test equipment associated with the electrical trade such as meggers, oscilloscopes, protective relay testers, multi-meters, watt meters, output, resistance to ground and other electrical characteristics.

Design and set-up the testing scenario, equipment and integrated electrical components to result in a successful test.

Determine and place distribution panels, boxes, fittings and connections and install wiring, couplings, conduit, relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices including electrical service entrances.

Makes engineering designed modifications on collective control systems.

Installs, modifies, repairs, troubleshoots, loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.

Performs preventive maintenance by inspecting, servicing, cleaning, and repairing both synchronous and induction electric motors ranging from fractional to 200 H.P. and A.C. or D.C. generators.
