Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting and supporting quality initiatives at the Chicago Heights facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment in a steel mill environment.
- Experience and Capable of working with 230/460/600 volt AC & 250 DC mill controls and overhead cranes.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and perform work from schematics, technical specifications, drawings and sketches. Experience with PLC systems and variable frequency drives (VFD) a plus.
- Shift work, weekends, call-outs and overtime a must.
- Perform any and all other duties as directed by supervisor or management representative within safety guidelines.
- Performs work in accordance with the defined Quality system and share responsibility for Quality.
