The primary purpose of this position is to install, repair, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain various distribution systems, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), Secondary Power Plant, Main Substation, controls devices/circuitry, electrical systems, specialized electrical controls, monitoring systems, and equipment.

CriticalInstalls, repairs or replaces, modifies, loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits,systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildingsand structures, in direct support of, United States Space Forces, National Defense programs,worldwide GPS satellites systems and equipment. Maintains and installs secondary switchgear,Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) systems andassociated batteries, distribution lines, 2000 VA (Kilo Volt Amperes) and larger electrical load centersproviding technical and utility power. CriticalTroubleshoots problem areas and inspects for defective equipment and faulty wiring. CriticalTroubleshoots distribution circuits and generating and controlling equipment. Makes emergencyrepairs and substitutions of power lines and equipment, sometimes working on distribution systemswhen they are energized. CriticalUtilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations andmaintains asafe and clean work environment. CriticalUses and maintains various types of hand and/or power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wirecutters, soldering irons, cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines.
