Join our growing team as an Electronic Security Systems Designer, where you'll serve as the technical expert behind innovative security solutions. In this role, you'll collaborate with customers, sales professionals, project managers, and operations teams to design integrated access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low-voltage systems. From initial site assessments through final design packages, you'll develop solutions that are technically sound, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with customer objectives.

What You'll Do
- Design integrated security solutions including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct customer consultations and site assessments to understand project requirements.
- Develop system layouts, equipment specifications, bills of material, and technical documentation.
- Prepare project budgets, proposals, and complete design packages.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure solutions are accurate, effective, and deliverable.
- Support value engineering efforts and recommend system enhancements and technology upgrades.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer requirements.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in electronic security system design, estimating, project engineering, or low-voltage system installation.
- Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with industry-leading platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with system design tools, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of industry standards including NEC, NFPA, and UL requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This role is primarily remote/office-based; however, travel to client sites is required for design validation, meetings, or assessments. Duties involve walking with the client and at construction sites. Physical conditions for system design include intermittent physical activity, including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting. Driving and travel are essential and expected elements of the job.
