In this role, you will be part of the electronics engineering team responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of electronic systems for autonomous drone platforms and multidisciplinary systems. The position includes full ownership of electronic design activities, from requirements definition and schematic design through PCB layout guidance, bring-up, testing, validation, production support, and field-related technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Leading electronic design activities for airborne and ground-based drone systems
  • Designing analog, digital, power, communication, and control circuits for multidisciplinary systems
  • Defining electrical requirements, interfaces, system constraints, and design specifications
  • Creating schematics, supporting PCB layout, reviewing designs, and preparing production files
  • Performing board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and design verification testing
  • Working with communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, USB, and other system interfaces
  • Designing and integrating power systems, DC/DC converters, battery interfaces, charging circuits, protection circuits, and power distribution solutions
  • Supporting integration of electronics with flight controllers, payloads, sensors, motors, ESCs, communication modules, and embedded systems
  • Collaborating with mechanical, firmware, software, system engineering, integration, manufacturing, and production teams
  • Working with external suppliers, PCB manufacturers, assembly houses, subcontractors, and component vendors
  • Preparing technical documentation, design reports, test procedures, ATP documents, ECOs, and production support documentation
  • Supporting verification, validation, qualification, and reliability testing processes
  • Investigating failures, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
  • Supporting development, production, integration, and field troubleshooting activities
  • Solving complex technical challenges under tight schedules and multidisciplinary constraints

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution
  • At least 5 years of experience in electronic circuit design
  • Proven experience in the design of electronic systems for drones, UAVs, robotics, airborne systems, or multidisciplinary platforms
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with power electronics, power distribution, DC/DC converters, battery-powered systems, and protection circuits
  • Experience in schematic design and PCB design processes
  • Ability to read, review, and create schematics, wiring diagrams, interface control documents, and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and signal generators
  • Familiarity with communication protocols and interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, and USB
  • Experience working with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or similar tools
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing, design for testing, component selection, and production support
  • Ability to work independently and lead design tasks from concept to production
  • Strong teamwork skills, interpersonal communication, organizational abilities, self-learning skills, and the ability to work under pressure

Advantages

  • Experience with autonomous drone systems or UAV platforms
  • Experience with flight controllers, payload electronics, ESCs, motors, sensors, GNSS, telemetry, and communication systems
  • Experience with military, defense, aerospace, or ruggedized electronic systems
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal, environmental, and qualification testing
