The Opportunity

KRUSH Tech is seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership in the architecture, design, integration, and validation of complex electronic systems supporting advanced aerospace and defense platforms.

This role combines deep individual technical contribution with technical leadership. You will own electronic designs from system architecture and circuit development through prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and production readiness, while helping establish technical direction and engineering best practices.

What You'll Do

• Own electronic system architecture and technical direction for complex hardware systems.
• Lead the design and development of power, analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics.
• Lead design reviews and technical assessments, identify technical risks, and drive engineering decisions and trade-offs.
• Define and execute prototype validation, measurement, and test strategies.
• Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Drive EMC/EMI-compliant design practices across component selection, circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration.
• Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) principles to PCB and hardware design.
• Collaborate across Embedded Software, RF, Mechanical, Systems, and Manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship across engineering projects.
• Play a key role in building the U.S. engineering team by conducting technical interviews, evaluating engineering candidates, and contributing to hiring decisions.
• Support electronic designs from prototype through production readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 6+ years of professional electronics or hardware engineering experience, with demonstrated senior-level technical ownership of complex electronic systems.
• Strong experience with complex electronic system architecture and circuit design, including hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation.
• Strong experience designing and debugging digital interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485, and USB.
• Strong practical experience with EMC/EMI-compliant design, including component selection, circuit design, and PCB layout.
• Strong experience with power electronics and power conversion, including converter topologies, component selection, stability, multi-rail architectures, and power sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal electronics, including amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, filters, circuit simulation, and noise analysis.
• Basic RF design knowledge, including impedance, impedance matching, RF component selection, and filtering principles.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and RF power meters.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, and thermal chambers for hardware development and validation.
• Knowledge of IPC standards and other applicable electronics industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) requirements for PCB design, with the ability to design hardware for efficient manufacturing, testing, and production.
• Professional experience with Altium Designer or comparable ECAD tools, with the ability and willingness to work in Altium.
• Experience with electronic circuit simulation tools such as LTspice, TINA-TI, Multisim, Proteus, or comparable tools.
• Experience transitioning electronic designs from prototype through manufacturing and production readiness.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and strong communication skills, including the ability to mentor engineers, evaluate technical talent, and contribute to engineering hiring decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing electronics for aerospace, defense, autonomous systems, robotics, or other complex hardware products.
• Experience with additional high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, LVDS, HDMI, MIPI, or USB 3.0.
• Working knowledge of soldering equipment and microscopes, with hands-on experience supporting prototype development, rework, and hardware debugging.
