ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

You will serve as an Electronics Engineer within the Naval Research Laboratory. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. You will serve as the Section Head and recognized expert guiding the development, operation, and enhancement of the Central Target Simulator hardware-in-the-loop facility.

You will analyze customer requirements, missile design trends, and electronic warfare technologies to formulate strategic upgrade plans, technical recommendations, and project specifications.

You will design, develop, and conduct effectiveness evaluations for current and future electronic warfare systems in the radio frequency domain.

You will author technical proposals, reports, and briefings to justify facility improvements and present recommendations to leadership and external stakeholders.

You will operate advanced hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems and general-purpose laboratory equipment—including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to verify electronic warfare performance.

You will use personal computers and specialized software tools for technical modeling, data analysis, and daily engineering operations.

You will lead, supervise, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical staff within the Central Target Simulator Operations Section.

You will manage section budgets, resource allocations, and business development initiatives to maintain alignment with broader program goals.

You will oversee routine facility maintenance, enforce safety protocols, and ensure the operational readiness and quality control of laboratory test environments.
