Electronics Engineering Assistant
Summary
Assists electronics engineers by creating schematics, designing PCB layouts, building and testing prototypes, and troubleshooting hardware issues for audio and radio products.
About the role
To work closely with a team of Electronics Design/Product Engineers providing hardware technical support during test and development.
Responsibilities
- Capture schematic drawings accurately to support electronics design
- Perform PCB layout using CAD programs to prepare for prototype development
- Build prototypes and conduct thorough testing of electronic boards to ensure functionality
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic boards by applying technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma, Advanced, Higher, or Graduate Diploma in Electronics Engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate good knowledge in electronics design to contribute effectively to hardware development
- Show strong interest in hardware work to engage proactively with engineering tasks
- Exhibit teamwork skills and maintain a positive attitude to collaborate within the engineering team
