ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I

You will serve as a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT without further competition***

You will plan, assign, and direct work at the work site, which may be in shop areas, aboard naval vessels, or in Shipyard buildings and support facilities.

You will coordinate work with other shifts and organizations when necessary to meet urgent or changing requirements.

You will ensure the proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, materials, and prescribed personal protective equipment.

You will recommend adjustments in staffing, resources, priorities, or overtime when necessary to meet key production dates and mission requirements.
