ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (BIOMEDICAL)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Advance In Hire may be authorized. This is only available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) checks and services on medical patient care equipment, including visual inspections, operational checks, electrical safety inspections, calibration, and performance verification.

Operate a wide variety of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), including invasive and non-invasive devices, and understand, operate, and interpret specialized TMDE used to support complex equipment and systems.

Perform software diagnostics to determine whether failures originate from software or hardware, and correct system software or application program malfunctions.

Set up and install new medical patient care equipment systems.

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and surveillance testing of electronic components, medical equipment, and systems, including modifications based on official guidance.
