ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
Summary
Maintain and configure military telecommunications systems, including digital switches, fiber optics, and VoIP, by reading schematics and performing hands-on network administration.
You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Guam of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC. Guam is designated as a medically underserved area. Military medical facilities offer space-available primary and limited specialty medical care; however, services are not guaranteed.
You will perform voice system/network switch operations and maintenance.
You will read and interpret technical documents such as electronic schematic drawings, technical manuals, blueprints, and system/sub-system drawings.
You will provide knowledge of telecommunications equipment, networks, and components, including Digital electronic switching systems, Fiber optic transmission systems, and Network equipment.
You will provide Hands-on experience in the administration, operation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems and networks.
You will perform switching network configuration and telephony server management administration functions.
You will provide programing for unique customer's operation requirement such as call routing, special call handling agents, voice menus announcements and VOIP services.
