Are you passionate about helping elementary students find new ways to learn and succeed? Clarifi Staffing Solutions is working with an Illinois school district to find a resource room educator who can provide personalized instruction, strengthen academic development, and encourage students to reach their potential.
About the Role
You’ll create purposeful learning experiences that address students’ individual strengths, needs, and educational objectives. Through targeted instruction and ongoing progress monitoring, you’ll help students build foundational academic skills and apply what they learn across their school day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to IEP development, meetings, and ongoing student planning.
- Designing and adapting lessons to make grade-level content more accessible.
- Tracking student achievement and completing required educational documentation.
- Identifying learning gaps and adjusting instructional approaches to encourage progress.
- Providing one-on-one and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP objectives.
- Coordinating with classroom teachers, families, and related-service professionals to support consistent learning strategies.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement for the position. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and differentiated teaching practices, along with strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Previous experience in a school-based special education setting is preferred.
