Embedded C/C++ Developer

We are looking for an Embedded C/C++ Developer to join a long-term project for a German industrial client. You'll develop and maintain firmware for embedded controllers and industrial devices, working with microcontrollers and real-time systems. Occasional on-site visits to Germany may be required for integration and testing.
What you'll do:

  • Write and maintain embedded C/C++ firmware for industrial controllers
  • Develop low-level drivers for microcontrollers and peripheral devices
  • Work with field devices, sensors and industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)
  • Support integration and testing of embedded systems in production hardware
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in live industrial environments
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system integration

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems
  • Experience with microcontrollers (ARM, STM32 or similar)
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)
  • Experience with real-time systems (RTOS)
  • English level C1, comfortable in daily communication with a German client
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site integration

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Siemens PLCs or industrial automation systems
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508/61511)
  • Experience with CAN bus or other industrial fieldbus protocols
