Embedded Developer



Acropolium, together with its international partner, is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join a project focused on developing and enhancing embedded Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.

You will work on Linux-based embedded systems, building reliable and scalable HMI solutions using Qt/QML and C++, while collaborating with an international engineering team.

  • Start Date: September 1, 2026
  • Duration: 80 working days
  • Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
  • Location: 100% Remote
Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance embedded HMI applications using Qt/QML and C++ in Linux environments
  • Implement new features and improve existing software components
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in embedded systems
  • Integrate backend services and hardware interfaces into embedded HMI applications
  • Design, maintain, and execute unit tests for Qt/QML and C++ applications
  • Participate in source code management using Git workflows
  • Design scalable and maintainable Qt/QML application architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle


Requirements
  • At least 2 years of commercial experience in embedded software development
  • Strong experience with Qt/QML development
  • Solid knowledge of C++
  • Experience working with Embedded Linux
  • Good understanding of Git workflows
  • Experience writing C++ unit tests
  • Hands-on experience developing embedded HMI applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams

Nice to Have
  • Advanced experience with Qt/QML application architecture
  • Advanced C++ programming skills
  • Experience with Qt/QML unit testing
  • Advanced Git workflow knowledge
  • Experience with CAN Bus
  • Experience with J1939 protocol
  • Experience integrating hardware interfaces and communication protocols
  • 5+ years of experience in Qt/QML-based embedded development environments
