Embedded Developer - Senior Software Engineer (M/F/D)
We’re looking for a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to join our Control Systems team at Honeywell Aerospace in Brno.
Our software team develops in-house, end-to-end embedded software for safety-critical aerospace systems, including our own electromechanical actuators, life support systems, and environmental control systems.
You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to bring next‑gen aviation technology to life.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Control Systems develops the thermal and motion control systems that help aircraft take off, land safely and protect the people on board. With more than 10 million passengers per day flying on aircraft equipped with our products and more than 75% of commercial flights beginning with our engine start systems, Control Systems reaches farther across the aviation industry than most people realize.

Key Responsibilities
- Development of real-time embedded software for aircraft controllers (actuation, life support and environmental control systems) using C and Python languages.
- Participation in all stages of software development: requirements definition, design, coding, testing, and documentation of the software in accordance with aerospace guidelines.
- Providing technical guidance and managing a team to achieve specific project goals and milestones.
- Development of supporting tools.
Key requirements
• University degree in Engineering field with IT/programming background
• Knowledge of programming in C, Python
• Experience in development of real-time embedded software
• Knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, etc.
• Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Proficient in the English language, as you will be in regular communication with international colleagues
