## Job Summary
The Embedded Hardware Engineer will design, develop, and validate high-precision analog and mixed-signal circuits, including sensor interfaces, signal conditioning front-ends, ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter)/DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) systems, and low-noise amplifier stages. This position sits at the intersection of precision measurement and system-level hardware design, requiring deep expertise in noise analysis, component-level circuit design, and PCB layout for analog systems.
## Responsibilities
- **Design & Development**:
- Design and simulate precision analog circuits, such as instrumentation amplifiers and active filters.
- Design complete ADC/DAC interface sub-systems, including anti-aliasing filters, input buffers, voltage references, and settling-time analysis for 12-24 bit converters.
- Create schematic captures and lead layout reviews in Altium Designer or KiCad, focusing on mixed-signal partitioning, guard rings, and low-noise analog routing.
- Perform circuit simulations using LTspice, Cadence SPICE, or MATLAB/Simulink (covering AC, transient, and noise analyses) prior to hardware build.
- **Testing & Validation**:
- Characterize analog performance and conduct EMI (Electromagnetic Interference)/EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) pre-compliance testing for analog-specific susceptibility.
- Generate validation reports, test protocols, and design documentation compliant with IEC measurement system standards.
- Root-cause and debug hardware failures.
- **System Integration & Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to define hardware-software interfaces.
- Interface with mechanical and PCB teams to ensure board material selection, layer stack-up, and shielding meet signal integrity and EMC requirements.
- Review supplier datasheets, participate in BOM (Bill of Materials) optimization, and engage with component vendors for alternate sourcing of precision analog devices.
## Qualifications
- **Educational Qualifications**:
- B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) / B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) / M.Tech (Master of Technology) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- **Key Skills**:
- Proficient in op-amp, instrumentation amplifier, comparator, and active filter design (Mandatory).
- Extensive experience in sensor interface design (Mandatory).
- Proficiency in LTspice SPICE simulation (Mandatory).
- Experience in PCB layout for mixed-signal/analog boards (Preferred).
- Familiarity with Altium Designer / KiCad schematic capture and layout (Preferred).
- Knowledge of EMC design practices for analog circuits (Preferred).
## Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with PCB layout tools, specifically for mixed-signal and analog boards.
- Experience with EMC design practices.
## Experience
- Total experience of 2-10 years in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- At least 2 years of specific experience in analog circuit design, sensor interfaces, or measurement system design.
- End-to-end product experience encompassing concept, schematic, PCB layout review, bring-up, design verification testing (DVT), and production support.
